Over the last forty years, a solution against social and cultural domination of the working class has been sought in English realistic cinema. What does one do with a resource that is valueless when it continues to define social identity? How can one become another while remaining oneself? When virility ceased to find favors on the English labor market, a solution presented here was still possible: to use the traditional masculinity in a feminine way.
